Identifying a career in health and fitness?
I’m going to school and am deciding on a major. I am leaning towards something in health and fitness. I’ve considered dietetics, nutritionist, personal trainer, things like that. Are there careers that have a combination of those needed skills? What majors open up those careers?
Kinesology can lead to Sports Medicine, which could be very lucrative

do you consider this rude behavior at a fitness gym?
If someone was working out, rested, then someone else comes up to that person and says "Wanna switch (weight machines), since your just sitting there?" When the guy was only sitting there for a couple minutes for rest between sets, and there apparently were other weight machines in the gym that were just like that one? Do you think this guy was trying to intimidate the other guy, acting macho by trying to rush him off the machine sooner?
Can people like this be kicked out of a gym?
Is this common behavior in a gym?
I don’t think it’s rude, in general and compared to some of the other stuff I see. like people need machines, and sitting doing nothing for a few minutes on a mchine is a huge interruption to the other guys workout which wouldn’t be a big deal, but since he’s not doing anything, it is kinda rude on the guy who isn’t doing anything.
besides compared to the people not putting weights back on the rack when they’re done and people talking to you during your w/o and on their phones during theirs, asking politely to switch a machine when you arent using it isn’t bad lol

Why do fitness centers have fixed directions for jogging?
So that when you are going around the corner you dont bump heads with someone else jogging the other direction. If everyone is going the same way there are less casualties!
What does it take to become a personal fitness Trainer?
Hi everyone!
So I am tried of working 2 dead end jobs and trying to get through college. I’ve been healthy and athletic my whole life. I love helping people feel better about themselves. I want to become certified as a personal fitness trainer. But I need advice in where to start what schools are a waste and what are good. I am looking to do something online so I can work at the same time. Also I want something where I can use if I move to another state. What is your advice?
Thank you!
My trainer is certified by AFAA Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She has been training for 16 years. I would say they are good to go with.

Requirements for 24 hour fitness Personal Trainer?
Can an individual become a 24 hour fitness personal trainer with just a CPR Certification and NO outside personal training certification?
I think their standards vary depending on where you are. I joined a clinic in California and the personal trainer that they pressured me to sign up with had very little training himself and did very little for me. I suspect that he was not certified.
Good luck.
