Try the YMCA. All-ages, family friendly, etc. You can get a teen membership for like 60 bucks a month, too (that’s cheap).

In the late 1970′ early 1980’s there was a women’s only health spa,gym, fitness center in San Anotnio Texas. I would like to know the name of that club
could be a few… Barbara Ellen Fitness Salons were big in the 70’s so was Spa Lady.

I’ve never really "worked out" before, but I am thinking about joining Curves fitness center. It seems less intimidating than most gyms. What do you think of it? And also, if you’re in the NYC area, about how much is it? I couldn’t find rates on their website.
