What types of fitness centers are there?
A lot.
-There are family gyms, that offer weightlifting, swimming, aerobic machines, basketball, tennis etc.
-There are more serious lifter type gyms, usually Golds Gym is more of that type. These gyms usually will only have weights and cardio machines, because the people that go there are into lifting more than other stuff.
-There are religious based gyms, for example my sister works for a Jewish gym, and I think YMCA is religious based too.
-There are boxing gyms, like what you see in the Rocky movies.
-There are women only gyms, like Curves.
Personally, I like the family gyms because you can do so many things there, but you have to remember that the more t they offer, the more they will charge.
